Statement Of Intent
The 2 shows that are displayed on my channel are called 'Yell' and 'Strange' and they both have 2 advertisements each, with Yell having a sort of 'continuation' to the second advertisement by showing a snippet of the start of the second advertisement at the end of the first one but to not give much away before the second advertisement is aired, it cuts away very quickly and is replaced with the title card. (The first part of the advert would be streamed on the channel for a long period before the second advertisement would be as to fully give the continuation feel.) Strange displays both of the povs of the 2 characters but by doing it one at a time via 2 separate advertisements for the show to allow the viewer to experience what both of the characters are feeling.
At the end of both of the advertisements, I have displayed the name of the show with the addition of a slogan that relates to the show itself. For example, in the show 'Strange', the slogan that appears at the end of both advertisements reads; 'Some things just don't have an explanation'. This was done in order to make the show more memorable to a wider audience by allowing the audience to have something more than just the name of the show to recognise it by. The slogan was then followed up by the name of the show in the centre and some text below to direct the viewer as to where it is currently being streamed by highlighting the name of the channel in a vibrant colour with it being placed on a black background in order to bring attention to it.
In my first advert from Yell, it begins with someone explaining to their audience about their plans for that day. The advert itself is constantly switching camera angles as they explain this, however no cut or breakage to their speaking ever happens in the advertisement and the character that is speaking keeps a continuous flow to their speech. This was done in order to properly display to the viewer the character's current location whilst also not negating them of any information.
My 2nd advert from Yell is the continuation to the 1st advert as seen by the ending of the 1st and the opening of the 2nd being the exact same imagery. The entirety of the second advert is seen purely from the pov of the character from the 1st advertisement. This was done in order to allow the viewer to feel as if they are in the shoes of the character, and also to give the sense of captivity to the viewer by not allowing them to see any possible incoming danger as they are locked into the view of the character.
